Drivers are seeing increases in the average cost of gas once again.
The national average is now $3.44 a gallon as of this morning, according to Triple A. The increases are due to an increase in demand for gas as milder weather hit the nation, which in turn had drivers taking advantage of it to go on trips. Rising oil costs are also to blame for the spike in gas prices, as prices are now back up to the $80 per barrel mark. The jump is a 12 cent jump from last week, 33 cents higher than last month and 11 cents higher than last year.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is $3.71 a gallon, a seven-cent increase from last week, an 11 cent jump from last month and 19 cents higher than last year.
