On Monday night, the Indiana School Board approved two of three motions concerning the Eisenhower Renovation and Addition project.
While the board approved by 7-1 votes to approve recommendations from the Buildings, Grounds and Transportation Committe for putting mechanical equipment structures on the roof of Eisenhower and eliminating the geothermal options for the HVAC system at the school, the board tabled a motion to approve a “storefront window concept” for the school. The reason for the tabling, according to Walter Schroth, is because the board wants to see a better example of the design option.
In other businesses, the board approved with regret the resignation of Horace Mann principal Kevin Edmondson. He leaves the district after two and a half years to become the assistant principal at the Junior-Senior High School in the Forest Hills School District.
