A Rossiter man pleaded no contest to charges related to sexual assault of a minor on Thursday.
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said in a news release that 41-year-old Jacob Miller entered a no contest plea to charges stemming from an incident in early 2021. Manzi said a report was made that Miller had assaulted a minor on several occasions and a forensic review was conducted at the CARE Center of Indiana County.
During that interview, the victim, who was not identified, reported the assaults and state police then interview Miller, who admitted to assaulting the minor.
Miller was charged with a second-degree felony charge of aggravated indecent assault of someone less than 16 years old, a third-degree felony charge of corruption of minors, and a second-degree misdemeanor charge of indecent assault of someone less than 16 years old.
He is currently lodged in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 1 in front of Judge Michael T. Clark.
