BOYS BASKETBALL
The United boys continue their undefeated run through the Heritage Conference, with a big win last night at Penns Manor. Todd Marino has the story.
River Valley had four players in double figures as they eased by Cambria Heights, 61-40. Brad McDivitt had 16 points for the Panthers. Jayden Whitfield scored 14, Luke Woodring 12, and Dom Speal 11. River Valley improved to 9-5 and 6-2 in the Heritage Conference West.
Northern Cambria got by Homer-Center, 46-36.
Portage scorched West Shamokin, 51-18.
Purchase Line got its first conference win, 55-38, over Marion Center.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Jayla Peterson scored 20 points and Bell Antonacci dropped in 15 as Indiana beat Woodland Hills, 54-44. The Indians are 9-4, and 5-0 in 5A Section 1.
WRESTLING
Indiana and Altoona put on a great show last night with the Indians winning it 36-24. Winners for Indiana were Nico Fanella, Carter Putt, Tuscan Blystone, Dominick Fanella, Michael Dolan, Alvin Liu, Carson Beatty, and Griffin Prebish sealed the meet with a fall at 215 pounds. Indiana is 5-3 overall 4-0 in the section.
RIFLE
Indiana rifle lost to Woodland Hills, 790-48X to 761-26x to Woodland Hill’s 790-48x. Top shooter for Indiana was Ryan Shaffer with a 98-8x.
