On Wednesday, the White Township Supervisors approved a new way for people to make payments to the township by using a credit card.
The supervisors approved implementing a credit card system from MuniciPay that will give township residents new payment options, according to Township Manager Chris Anderson.
The convenience fee for those using the system will be $1.50. The new system will be ready to go in April.
In other business, Anderson updated the supervisors on the progress of the dangerous structure ordinance. He said that the township received some additional language concerning dangerous fences and were asked to exempt some agricultural fencing like barbed wire, as long as it is installed properly, and to clarify the difference between a dangerous fence and one that is not aesthetically pleasing. He said this will not delay the timeline for the ordinance.
