The River Valley School Board will meet tonight, and property taxes will be on the agenda.
The board will have a motion on the agenda to approve the Act 1 resolution for the district. The resolution will put an upper limit on any property tax increases at 4.1 percent.
Also on the tentative agenda is the naming Larissa Csanyi as the district’s Director of Transportation, with a salary increase of $15,000 annually, along with the hiring of a new chemistry teacher, a Blairsville Elementary School Nurse, a special education teacher, and two full-time custodians. The board will also look to approving an agreement with Hostetter Auctioneers to auction designated items from the Saltsburg Campus to the highest bidder.
