Indiana County’s courts will be busy today, including the county court of common pleas with several sentencing hearings today.
Among those hearings are seven sentencing hearings for a Johnstown man. 30-year-old Clifford Camut, Jr. will go before Judge Michael Clark today for those hearings for cases that date back to 2019. He faces drug- and theft-related charges over the seven incidents.
Due for a plea court hearing today is a man charged with strangling someone. Court documents show that 37-year-old Steven Perez III will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco at 8:30 this morning. He is charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment for an incident on December 27th of 2021.
Also on the court schedule today is 34-year-old Matthew Robert Knox of Punxsutawney. He will be sentenced for guilty pleas to charges of endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault. The charges were filed after an incident in August of 2021.
