The Homer-Center Wildcat swim teams hosted the Huntingdon Area Bearcats on Wednesday at IUP’s Jack Pidgeon Natatorium.
The girls lost 101-68 and the boys lost 129-25 to the Bearcats.
The girls won seven of the eleven events. First place finishers include Grace Frazer in the 100 breaststroke; Julia King in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke; and Morgan Nagy in the 50-freestyle and 500-freestyle. They, along with Ava King, combined to win the 200-medley relay and the 400-freestyle relay.
The boys featured a third place finish by Levi Loose in the 100 breaststroke; Ohsen Maratita in the 100 backstroke; and Landon Shoup in the 200 I.M. and 500 Freestyle.
Several swimmers improved their times during the meet. For the girls, Leanne Cooper shaved 10.54 seconds off her 100 Freestyle. For the boys, Maratita dropped 23.98 seconds off his 200 freestyle.
The Wildcats host Tyrone Area on January 9 at Pigeon Natatorium at 7 p.m.
