With Tristan Jarry’s injury still being evaluated, the Penguins have recalled goaltender Dustin Tokarski from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Jarry left Monday’s Winter Classic outdoor game in Boston in the first period after taking a shot to his left knee.
Tokarski is 8-6-4 with a 2.22 goals against average this season, all in the AHL after signing last offseason as a free agent. The 33-year-old has played parts of eight seasons in the NHL, with Tampa Bay, Montreal, Anaheim, and Buffalo.
To clear room on the roster for Tokarski, defenseman Kris Letang was placed on the non-roster list. He’s on a leave of absence currently after the death of his father and is also dealing with an undisclosed injury.
The Pens will play in Las Vegas tomorrow night.
