The Pittsburgh Penguins have demoted Mark Friedman to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton farm team.
He has been recalled to the NHL roster twice this season but has yet to dress for a game. He’s been a healthy scratch for the last three games since being recalled on December 14th. In Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has played 19 games and has a goal and four assists.
The Pens are still on a four-day break from all team activities for the Christmas holiday. The next practice will be a morning skate prior to a road game against the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
