Kris Letang returned to the Penguins lineup last night just 12 days after suffering a stroke and Sidney Crosby had two goals and an assist as the Penguins beat Buffalo for the second straight night. The final score was 3-1 as Casey DeSmith made 37 saves.
Crosby assisted on a first period goal by Rickard Rakell and scored one of his own on a backhand off a pass from Jake Guentzel on a power play later in the period. After Buffalo pulled to within a goal early in the third period, Crosby again took a pass from Guentzel, this time with a step on the defense, and scored on a wrist shot to secure the win.
Letang led the Penguins in time on the ice at 22:14.
The Penguins have won five straight games, including back-to-back victories over the Sabres Friday and Saturday nights. They are back on the ice tomorrow night at PPG Paints Arena against Dallas.
