Not even 12 hours after being named Luxenburg’s Jewelers Indiana County High School MVP for the football season, Penns Manor’s Max Hill put up an impressive performance on the hardwood, leading the Comets to a 61-44 win over the Homer-Center Wildcats.

The Comets move to 2-2 with the win. The Wildcats move to 0-3.
In other scores, Portage downed Marion Center, 88-49. The Mustangs led 47-32 at the half but outscored the Stingers, 41-17 in the second half to cruise to a win.
River Valley squeaked by Northern Cambria, 47-45. The score was tied at 45 with 30 seconds left in the game, but Dom Speal hit a 12-foot jumper as time expired to win it for the Panthers. Jayden Whitfield led River Valley with 21 points, while Speal had 15.
In a Heritage Conference/WPIAL crossover game, Indiana High moved to 2-2 after a 60-49 win over West Shamokin. Gavin Homer led the way for the Indians with 16 points. Trevor Todd added 13 and Stanford Webb had 11.
Bradyn Rodgers led the Wolves with 17 points

Conemaugh Valley topped Northern Cambria, 43-29.
