Fresh off a win over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, the Penguins return to action tonight looking to make it three in a row as they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena.
Columbus has lost three of its last four games, with its only win coming against Winnipeg on Friday; however, the Blue Jackets find themselves in the driver’s seat after Pittsburgh captains Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Casey DeSmith missed practice due to illness.
Ryan Poehling also missed practice due to an upper-body injury but he did skate with assistant coach Ty Hennes yesterday morning.
Coach Mike Sullivan said players are going to get sick, especially with everything returning to normal.
