Earlier this morning, the Little Rock Touchdown, in conjunction with the Great American Conference, announced its finalists for this year’s Harlon Hill Award and one PSAC player was selected.
The PSAC announced that Shepherd quarterback Tyson Bagent was named one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy, recognizing the NCAA Division II Player of the Year.
Bagent looks to win the award for a second straight year. This season, he compliled 4,184 passing yards and a 71 completion percentage, both of which lead Division II.
IUP wide receiver Duane Brown, who was on the Harlon Hill watch list throughout the season, was not named a finalist. He did, however, earned Super Region One First Team honors, along with offensive lineman Darrell Davis.
IUP and Shepherd face off Saturday in the Super Region One championship at Miller Stadium.
