Aided by a strong 50-point second half, the PITT men’s basketball team extended its winning streak to four after the Panthers handled Northwestern, 87-58, Monday night.
Five players hit double figures, including forward Blake Hinton who scored 22 points. Hinson also went 4-for-5 from three-point range and hauled in eight rebounds and five assists. Senior guard Greg Elliott scored 18 points, while Nelly Cummings posted 17 points with six rebounds.
The Panthers move to 5-3 on the year and look to upset 6-1 NC State on Friday.
