The Northern Cambria Colts won their first District 6 football championship on the strength of two fourth-quarter touchdowns, defeating Heritage Conference rival Penns Manor, 12-6, on Saturday night at Altoona’s Mansion Park.
Quarterback Max Hill rushed 28 times for 110 yards for the Comets, who totaled 208 rushing yards on 54 attempts. Penns Manor gained 246 total yards on offense.
After running just 14 offensive plays in the first half, the Colts gained 123 yards in the second half, including 107 on their two touchdown drives. Quarterback Owen Bougher completed 10 of 13 passes for 148 yards and two touchdown passes.
