Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick returned to the practice field yesterday just five days after his appendectomy and while he was a full practice participant, he said it would be a mistake to rush back to game action, so he would wait to see if he can play on Sunday.
Injured rookie defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal also practiced, for the second day in a row. He is on the injured reserve list after having a torn meniscus in his knee trimmed. The team has until December 11th to activate him or keep him on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Linebacker Devin Bush also returned, as did special teams ace Marcus Allen.
Offensive lineman Jesse Davis sat out practice with a knee injury. Guard Kevin Dotson, defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi, and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon all sat out with injuries and TJ Watt and Cam Heyward were given the day off for rest.
The Steelers take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, kicking off at 4:25 (WDAD).
