The IUP women’s basketball team sent home a crowd of 2,992 grade-school students pleased as they trounced Rosemont, 102-20, in their 8th annual Education Day game.
The Crimson Hawks held Rosemont to single digits in the first, second and fourth quarters, and allowed just 11 points to the Ravens in the third quarter.
Indiana alumnus Hope Cook scored 15 points in the game while going 2-for-2 at the free throw line. Cook also put IUP over 100 points with a jump shot late in the fourth quarter. Anna Rafferty and Grace Spadaro notched double-doubles in the game. Rafferty had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Spadaro had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
IUP, now 3-0, returns to the KCAC next Wednesday to face Ohio Dominican at 5:30 p.m.
