AREA RUNNERS AT STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET

Marion Center’s Dillon Green was the top runner from area teams at the state Cross Country championships in Hershey on Saturday.  Green finished in 18^th place in Class A with a time of 17:46.6.

Others to race in Boys Class A from the area included Gabe Kavulic of Apollo Ridge, who finished 44^th.  Marion Center’s Tim Barrett was 85^th, Evan Risinger 157^th, Cameron Pack 165^th, Adam Ryer 182^nd, Seth Boring 186^th, and Rayden Long 251^st.  Cambria Heights’ Brock Eckenrode was 141^st.

In Class A Girls, Ligonier Valley’s Clara Wallace was 57^th.  United’s Sarah Marshall finished 73^rd, and Marion Center’s Reagan Ryen was 92^nd.  Fellow Stingers Claire Hood finished 122^nd, Mikayla Gatskie 147^th, Maggie Hood 157^th, Brynnley Haggerty 162^nd, and Kenadee Elkin 175^th.  West Shamokin’s Riley Schreckengost was 97^th. River Valley’s Alexandria Kepple was 148^th.

In Double-A Girls, Indiana’s Addy Fry was 82^nd.

In Double-A Boys, Indiana’s Seth Weaver was also 82^nd, and Jon Berzonsky placed 157^th. Indiana Cross Country submitted two photos.
