Marion Center’s Dillon Green was the top runner from area teams at the state Cross Country championships in Hershey on Saturday. Green finished in 18th place in Class A with a time of 17:46.6.
Others to race in Boys Class A from the area included Gabe Kavulic of Apollo Ridge, who finished 44th. Marion Center’s Tim Barrett was 85th, Evan Risinger 157th, Cameron Pack 165th, Adam Ryer 182nd, Seth Boring 186th, and Rayden Long 251st. Cambria Heights’ Brock Eckenrode was 141st.
In Class A Girls, Ligonier Valley’s Clara Wallace was 57th. United’s Sarah Marshall finished 73rd, and Marion Center’s Reagan Ryen was 92nd. Fellow Stingers Claire Hood finished 122nd, Mikayla Gatskie 147th, Maggie Hood 157th, Brynnley Haggerty 162nd, and Kenadee Elkin 175th. West Shamokin’s Riley Schreckengost was 97th. River Valley’s Alexandria Kepple was 148th.
In Double-A Girls, Indiana’s Addy Fry was 82nd.
In Double-A Boys, Indiana’s Seth Weaver was also 82nd, and Jon Berzonsky placed 157th. Indiana Cross Country submitted two photos.
