The IUP Crimson Hawks put on a show for Alumni Day, shutting out the Clarion Golden Eagles, 45-0, at George P. Miller Stadium.
Jack Benedict has the recap.
Coach Paul Tortorella said his team played clean football throughout all four quarters.
Defensive lineman Gregory Moore II recorded five tackles, two for a loss, in the win. He said the team’s preparation is paying off.
With the win, and with Slippery Rock’s win over Edinboro earlier today, IUP clinches a share of the PSAC West and advances to next week’s PSAC Championship game against Shepherd. It will be a 3 p.m. kickoff at Miller Stadium.
Tortorella said Shepherd will be a tough challenge.
Airtime will be at 2:30 p.m. on U92.5 FM and U92radio.com.
