The District 6 football playoffs have finally arrived with six Heritage Conference teams in action tonight. In Class A, one of the games is a rematch of two Heritage Conference teams. Number three seed Cambria Heights, at 7-3, will host number six Homer-Center, which is 5-5. The two teams played on October 7th and the Highlanders won it, 31-12 as quarterback Ty Stockley ran for 243 yards and four touchdowns. Homer-Center coach Greg Page says says the Wildcats have to find a way to stop Stockley.
Page you are only an underdog if you don’t think you can win.
Cambria Heights coach Jarrod Lewis is excited to be playing a playoff game at home for only the second time in school history.
Lewis says Homer-Center is a good football team.
The coach has a lot of respect for Homer-Center’s program.
Lewis has the keys to the game for the Highlanders.
Top seed Penns Manor, at 9-1, welcomes number eight Glendale, which is 5-5, to Pat Corrigan Field in Kenwood. The Comets lost for the first time in the Appalachian Bowl last week, while the Vikings’ Zeke Dubler ran for 319 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Curwensville. Penns Manor coach Bill Packer says they have to put that game against Berlin Brothersvalley behind them because Glendale can bring it.
Packer says the Comets have to be on top of their game tonight.
7-3 second seed Northern Cambria will host 5-5 number seven Moshannon Valley.
Colts coach Sam Shutty says last week’s crossover game with Conemaugh Township was good preparation for the playoffs.
Shutty says his team fought home for the second seed.
The coach has the keys to beating the Black Knights.
Number five seed Portage travels to number four Juniata Valley tonight.
And in Double-A, number eight West Shamokin visits undefeated top seed Richland. The Wolves are playing without quarterback Lou Swartz and a number of other guys are battling injuries. West Shamokin coach Jon McCullough is proud that his team fought so hard to make the playoffs without some of their key players.

Northern Cambria and Moshannon Valley square off on Cat Country, 106.3 FM at 6:30.
