The Steelers’ walking wounded continue to work their way back to game readiness, with their game Sunday night at Miami nearing.
Kenny Pickett was back at quarterback as a full participant yesterday. Return man Steven Sims was the only absentee, as he deals with a hamstring injury. Cornerback James Pierre was the only player listed a “limited”, with a hip injury that was evidently sustained in practice. Linebacker TJ Watt remains on injured reserve and will not play Sunday, although he is eligible to return.
Ten players, seven of them from the defense, were upgraded to full participation.
Safety Damontae Kazee, who has been on injured reserve since suffering a wrist injury in the preseason finale and then was suspended by the league for three games for violating NFL rules on substances of abuse, returned to practice yesterday. The Steelers have 21 days to activate him to the active roster.
