The top two teams in the AFCA Division II coaches poll met on Saturday and second-ranked Grand Valley State topped number one Ferris State, 22-21, putting a stop to Ferris State’s 19-game winning streak.
In the NCAA.com Power Rankings, Grand Valley State is number one while Ferris State fell only to number two. The PSAC’s Shepherd remained number three after clobbering Millersville on Saturday, followed by Angelo State and Ouchita Baptist. IUP, a big winner over Edinboro, is in the “first five out” of the top ten, which is listed alphabetically.
IUP’s Duane Brown is listed among 31 players on the NCAA.com “Harlon Hill Hopefuls”.
The new AFCA Coaches Poll is due out today.
