The quarterback duo of Mak Sexton and Logan Horn teamed up to break a school record in the IUP Crimson Hawks’ 41-0 shutout win over Edinboro on Saturday.
Jack Benedict has the recap from U92.5 FM.
Head coach Paul Tortorella said this was a good team win.
Sexton commented on the record he and fellow quarterback Logan Horn set. The duo combined for a completion percentage of 94.5, last set in 2012 when IUP posted a mark of 92 percent. Sexton said it was a team effort to reach this mark.
Sexton finished 16-of-18 with 338 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Duane Brown finished with seven receptions, 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Adam Houser returned to the field after missing a few weeks with an injury, and netted 61 yards and 11 carries with a touchdown. He said the IUP running back core is special.
Defensively, Darius Bruce and Raunya Mitchell each tallied an interception.
IUP returns to Miller Stadium next week to host the Seton Hill Griffins. Kick-off is at 2 p.m.
