The Penguins play at Detroit tonight in another preseason game, coming off a 3-1 loss to Buffalo on Saturday.
Yesterday, the team waived forward Radim Zohorna, along with veterans forwards Drake Caggiula and Alex Nylander, defenseman Xavier Ouellet, and goaltender Dustin Tokarski. All were trying to make the Pens after signing in the offseason. If no other team claims them, they can be assigned to Wilkes Barre-Scranton.
Fifteen others were assigned to the minors, including forwards Drew O’Connor and Caltteri Puustinen, who were both considered contenders to make the final roster with the Pens.
