Make it two in a row for the Pirates over the Reds, and for the second straight game, it was the 7th inning that made the difference.
Joe Block reports.
In this afternoon’s series finale, right-hander Bryse Wilson [3-9, 5.95 ERA] pitches for the Pirates against the Reds’ righty Luis Cessa [4-4, 4.78 ERA]. It’s a 12:10 airtime, 12:35 first pitch on WCCS.
The Pirates have only one minor league affiliate still playing out its season. That’s Triple-A Indianapolis, where last night another Altoona Curve alum started. 2019 number-one draft choice Quinn Priester gave up four runs on three hits in 4-and-a-third innings in a 7-1 loss to Columbus.
