The Penguins play the Detroit Red Wings tonight in a preseason game at PPG Paints Arena, and most of the team’s stars are expected to make their season debuts.
Forwards Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jake Guentzel, Bryan Rust, and Rickard Rakell are listed in the lineup, but Jeff Carter is not. Defensemen Kris Letang and Brian Dumoulin will also skate tonight, and the goaltenders will be Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith.
The Pens yesterday returned defensemen Isaac Belliveau and Ryan McCleary to their junior teams.
