The Penguins’ Tristan Jarry revealed yesterday that he played the final playoff game of last season’s first round loss to the Rangers with a broken foot. He’d missed the first six games of the series and tried gamely to push the team into the second round. Jarry said it was another month after the loss before he was medically cleared to begin offseason workouts.
Coach Mike Sullivan after the opening session of training camp yesterday that the team has put the playoff loss behind them and is eager to make another run at the Stanley Cup this season.
Sullivan was happy to see that, as always, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang were fired up and ready to go yesterday.
