BOYS GOLF
Indiana lost to Latrobe by ten strokes to fall to 8-4 overall, and 4-3 in the Section. The Wildcats’ PJ Germano was the medalist with a 40 at the Latrobe Country Club. Trevor Todd shot a 42 and Harrison Martineau a 44 to lead Indiana, which also got 48s by Ash Lockard and Adam Cowburn and 49s by Gabe Nettleton and Caden Force.
In the JV match, Michael Lubold shot a 42 and Charlie Weber a 46 for Indiana.
CROSS COUNTRY
Indiana’s Cross Country boys beat Ligonier Valley yesterday but fell to Norwin in a double dual meet. Indiana’s top finish was Jon Berzonsky’s third place run of 17 minutes, 22 seconds. Seth Weaver also broke the 18-minute mark, with a 6th place run of 17:40. Jacob Gill finished in 9th and Brennan Huff in 10th.
The Indiana girls also beat Ligonier Valley but lost to Norwin. Addy Fry led Indiana with a third place finish in 20:44. Other top ten finishers for Indiana were Chloe Hain in 7th place and Rachel Gill in 8th.
VOLLEYBALL
A tight Heritage Conference volleyball match ended with Portage outlasting Cambria Heights, 16-14, in the final set. The Mustangs dominated the first set. 25-10, but lost the second set, 25-21, before splitting the next two sets, winning, 28-26, and losing, 25-18.
Portage’s Trizza Smith had 32 assists and 18 digs while Annie Davis had 12 kills. For Cambria Heights, Paige Burkey had 14 service points, Emerson Packard had 24 digs, and Makenzie Mulraney had 13 kills.
