Week One of the NFL season arrives with the Steelers game-planning for kickoff Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Two former Steelers have worked out deals with the Cleveland Browns. Tight end Jesse James left three seasons ago, playing two years in Detroit and last season with the Bears, where he made only seven catches. Offensive tackle Joe Haeg, who was let go last week by the Steelers, signed a one-year deal with the Browns.
Two of the marquee teams in the NFL kick off the season on Thursday night when the Buffalo Bills visit the Super Bowl champion Rams in Los Angeles. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford says he has “no limitations” after dealing with pain in his throwing elbow all during training camp.
All of the other games this weekend will be on Sunday, including the Steelers, who play at one o’clock. The game will air on WDAD, with the pregame at noon.
