The Pirates got to Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes, but the Brewers’ bats caught up to the Bucs’ bullpen last night in Milwaukee.

Before the game, the Pirates recalled outfielder Jack Suwinski from Indianapolis and optioned Bligh Madris back to Indy. Suwinski started in left field and was 1-for-3 with a single in the second inning.
Game Two of the series is tonight. It’s a 7:45 airtime, 8:10 first pitch from Milwaukee on WCCS. Mitch Keller [4-10, 4.50 ERA] gets the start for the Pirates against Brewers right-hander Jason Alexander [2-1, 5.26 ERA].
ALTOONA CURVE
The Altoona Curve are back home at PNG Field for their next-to-last home series of the season, the start of a six-game set against Akron. The Curve have not named their starting pitcher for tonight.
