In the minor leagues, it was strikeout for strikeout last night between the Altoona Curve and the Bowie Baysox, but the Baysox managed two runs late in the game to post a 4-1 win over the curve last night.
Luis Ortiz had 10 strikeouts and no walks on the night, but he took the loss, giving up two runs to the Baysox. In fact, both sides did well pitching-wise as they each racked up 12 strikeouts. Malcom Nunez had the lone run for the Curve, a solo homer off Bowie starter Justin Armbruster.
The two teams continue their series tonight, with Altoona sending Kyle Nicolas to the mound.
