Pauline Fay Gerber, 83, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 while at Maple Valley Personal Care Home.
The daughter of Guy and Willavene (Rupert) Poloff, she was born October 24, 1938 in Brownstown, PA.
Pauline served as Den Mother for her son’s Cub Scout group. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, crossword puzzles, traveling, and casinos. Pauline loved spending time with her friends during their game nights. Vacationing to Ocean City, Maryland one was of her favorite past times. Pauline loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving is her husband, John Gerber of Indiana; children, Mark Gerber and fiancée Paula McGinnis of Penn Run and Renee (Matthew) Zuchelli of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Justin (Kerilee) Gerber of York, Alison (Derek) Stiles of Mount Wolf, Zachary Zuchelli of Clarksburg, and Jenna (Brandon) Blystone of Spring Church; siblings Dolores “Dee Dee” Curcio, Wesley “Darrell” Poloff, Beverly Schwartz, and Cheryl “Lynn” Restori; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty Mae Dwyer, Mary Lou Cochran, James “Jim” Poloff, Donna Condor, Tony Poloff, Darlene Wofford, and infant brother, Guy; and a niece, Rebecca Combs.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. David Henderson, officiating.
Entombment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
