For the second time in as many days, Bryan Reynolds and the Pittsburgh Pirates walked off a win against the Milwaukee Brewers. This time, however, it clinched the Bucs’ second sweep of the season.
The Pirates beat the Brewers, 5-4, in ten innings.
Joe Block has the story.
The Pirates take their three-game winning streak to Baltimore for a weekend series against the Orioles. Pittsburgh will send RHP Mitch Keller (3-7, 4.37 ERA) to the mound, while the Orioles will start RHP Dean Kremer. Airtime is 6:40 tonight on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160.
The Pirates made a couple roster moves yesterday. C Tyler Heineman and LHP Dillon Peters were placed on the 15-day injured list. Heineman is dealing with a right groin strain, while Peters is suffering from left elbow inflammation.
In corresponding moves, LHP Eric Stout was recalled from Triple A Indianapolis and the Pirates selected the contract of C Taylor Davis from Indy.
Davis appeared in two games with the Pirates last season and went 2-for-5 at the plate.
