Today is opening day for the Pennsylvania Youth Legion Baseball State tournament in Homer City.
The tournament is being hosted by First Commonwealth Bank field in Homer City, but the schedule has some games at the White Township Recreation Complex as well. The first game on the schedule is at 4:45 PM as Taney plays Connellsville. At the White Township Rec Complex, game two will start at 5:00 as Shillington plays Penn Trafford on Hogan Field. At 5:30, Upper Perkiomen will take on Murraysville at 5:30. Back at First Commonwealth Bank Field, Homer City’s Walbeck Insurance will take on Spring City at 7:30.
After today, all the games will be played at First Commonwealth Bank Field for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. All the games Homer City will be involved in will be on Your Hometown Radio Stations. For tonight’s game against Spring City, it will be on WDAD at 7:30. Sunday and Monday’s games will be at 7:45 and 7:00 respectively, with both games on WCCS. If Homer City plays Tuesday, then we will let you know what station the game will be broadcast on. The games will also be broadcast on Renda Digital TV.
