On the eve of training camp, the Steelers have released running back/special teams ace Trey Edmunds, the brother of starting safety Terrell Edmunds. He’s been on and off the Steelers roster a total of eight times since 2018.
Steelers players report to training camp today at St. Vincent College in Latrobe. The first practice is scheduled for tomorrow, and it will be open to the public. The session begins at 1:55 PM and the gates will open at that time for all of the practices through Saturday. There will be no public Sunday workouts, but next week’s practices will all be open at 1:55, with the exception of the Friday, August 5th practice, which will be the annual Friday Night Lights practice at Latrobe Stadium.

NFL
Training camp gets underway across the NFL for most teams today. The first preseason game in the NFL this year is the Hall of Fame Game between the Jaguars and Raiders in Canton, Ohio on Sunday.
Former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has retired from football. He spent last season with Houston. Amendola won Super Bowl titles with the Patriots in 2014 and 2016.
