The Altoona Curve also resumed play after the All-Star break with a loss to the Harrisburg Senators 7-5. Aaron Shackelford and Andres Alvarez both had homers for the Curve, and Fabricio Macias had three RBI, but the Senators offense was just too much for the Curve to handle.
Luis Ortiz took the loss for Altoona, allowing five runs, including three earned runs over five innings, striking out five.
The two teams continue their three-game series tonight in Harrisburg. Kyle Nichols will start for the Curve. The Senators have not yet named a starter.
