SW Jack has a one-game lead in the best-of-three Youth Legion series with Marion Center, scoring a run in the bottom of the 7th last night to take a 7-6 win. Game Two of the series is tonight at 6 at Marion Center. The winner will be the host team for next week’s Western Regional Tournament at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City.
In the championship series, Brookville Fireman’s Club broke a 7-7 tie with a run in the 5th inning and two more in the 6th, then snuffed a rally by Punxsutawney S&T Bank to win the series opener, 10-8. Punxsy had the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th but Brookville induced a flyout to win the game. Game Two is tonight at Brookville.
