The Pirates were not able to stop the offensive firepower of the Milwaukee Brewers as they handed the Pirates an embarrassing 19-2 loss last night at PNC Park. Joe Block reports.
The Pirates gave up three homers in the second inning from Luis Urias, Keston Hiura and Rowdy Tellez. Willy Adames also had a grand slam as part of an eighth inning where eight runs were scored. Pirates pitcher Roasny Contreras took the loss, his second of the season, lasting only one and two-thirds innings.
The Pirates return to action this afternoon against the Brewers. You can hear the game starting at 3:40 with the pre-game show on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160.
