The Altoona Curve closed out its six-game road trip in New Hampshire with a 9-6 win over the Fisher Cats.
Henry Davis, the Pirates No. 1 draft pick in 2021, put the Curve ahead in the ninth with a go-ahead two-run double. He finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Outfielder Matt Gorski hit his league-leading 23rd home run of the year in the fifth. He went 2-for-5 with three RBIs on the day.
Tyler Samaniego picked up his first Double-A win on the mound after pitching one-and-one-thirds innings.
After an off day today, the Curve return to Altoona tomorrow as they welcome the Harrisburg Senators for a six-game series.
