Indiana County’s Courts of Common Pleas will hold several sentencing hearings today, including a hearing for a man charged with a shooting at the Taco Bell in Indiana on August 7th of 2020.
Court documents show that 34-year-old Todd Matthew Jakosh of Indiana will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco today to be sentenced for guilty pleas made in the shooting case. He pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault, and single counts of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, and criminal mischief in connection with the shooting where he fired three shots at a female employee at the Taco Bell on Oakland Avenue near the IUP Campus. All three shots missed. Jakosh was taken into custody within an hour of the shooting. Jakosh will also be sentenced today for an incident in July of that year, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. Three other counts were not prosecuted.
Also due in court today for a plea and sentencing hearing today is 34-year-old Wayne Michael Sias, who is facing charges of theft of secondary metal, defiant trespass, and harassment for an incident on May 17th of last year.
The other cases on the court schedule today include many DUI and drug-related cases.
