Members of the Blairsville community gathered this morning to welcome back an auto parts store that was lost in a fire just over one year ago.
After the Advance Auto Parts store along Resort Plaza Drive was lost in a fire on June 14, 2021 that started in the store’s air conditioning unit, store employees and community members gathered outside the newly-renovated storefront this morning for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick-off its comeback story.
Assistant Manager Scott Morlan said after the ceremony that it’s great to be back in business.
Video and photos from the ribbon-cutting ceremony can be found below.
The store will feature multiple sales throughout the day, including buy-one-get-one free wiper blades and deals on conventional and synthetic oil changes, and it will remain open until 9 o’clock tonight.
Five food trucks are also on-site until 2:30 p.m. and Your Hometown Radio Stations will be broadcasting live until 1 p.m.
