Fenway Sports Group yesterday named Kevin Acklin the Penguins’ new president of business operations. Acklin has been with the Penguins since 2018, serving as the team’s chief operating officer and general counsel. Acklin is a Pittsburgh native. His title is new to the Pens, but it will largely encompass the duties formerly under retired CEO and president David Morehouse.
Fenway also announced that Brian Burke will remain the team’s president of hockey operations and will report directly to the ownership group. He’d previously reported to Morehouse.
