Kovacik Insurance edged Marion Center, 5-4, last night, scoring all of its runs in the first three innings to take a 5-0 lead, then holding on as MC scored two in the 3rd and a run each in the 6th and 7th. Gillin had two hits for Kovacik and Alex Stewart had two for Marion Center.
Luke Rowe threw a complete game shutout as SW Jack Drillers knocked off Young Township, 11-0, in a five-inning game. Rowe gave up just two hits and struck out six with no walks. The Drillers scored 9 runs in the first inning. Tristan Redinger and Kadin Homer each had multiple hits for SW Jack and Redinger had 4 RBIs. Brayden McCracken and Breydon Orvosh had the two Young Township hits.
