The Penguins announced yesterday that they re-signed one of their top AHL players to a contract extension.
General manager Ron Hextall announced that the team signed defenseman Taylor Fedun to a two-year extension that will run through the 2023-24 season.
Fedun served as the team captain for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pengiuns of the AHL last year and put up five goals, 11 assists and 16 points. Prior to his time in the Penguins’ organization, he appeared in 127 total games with the Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars.
Under this new deal, Fedun will earn an average annual salary of $762,500 at the NHL level.
