The Altoona Curve extended their winning streak to four games after beating the Harrisburg Senators, 5-2, yesterday.
Mike Burrows earned another win on the mound after he tossed seven shut-out innings for Altoona, allowing just two hits and striking out eight Senators hitters. Tahnaj Thomas and Emmanuel Mejia came in to pitch the final two innings, with Mejia earning the save.
With the win, Burrows moved to 3-0 with a 1.90 ERA this season.
Liover Peguero and Matt Fraizer each led the way offensively for Altoona with a home run. Matt Gorski extended his hitting streak to four games – three in Altoona and one with Greensboro – after picking up a single in the game.
The win brings Altoona to an even 21-21 on the season, and they look to go on the winning side of things tonight in Harrisburg. Neither team has announced a starter yet.
First pitch is 7 p.m.
