After beating the Colorado Rockies, 2-1, on Monday, the Rockies flipped the script and upended the Bucs by the same score on Tuesday in ten innings.

RHP Zach Thompson (2-4, 4.88 ERA) will go for the Bucs this afternoon while RHP Ryan Feltner (0-1, 7.20 ERA) goes for the Rox. Airtime is 12:10 p.m. on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160. Because of the early start time, the WCCS news at noon will begin at 11:50 a.m.
Pirates No. 5 prospect Roansy Contreras didn’t miss a beat in his first game back with the team since being optioned to Class AAA Indianapolis in April, striking out five and allowing just three hits in five innings. He earned a no-decision.
The Pirates No. 25 prospect Cal Mitchell was promoted early yesterday afternoon and started in right field. He went 1-for-4 with a RBI single in his debut.
To make room for Mitchell on the 40-man roster, LHP Cam Alldred was designated for assignment.
The Bucs also announced that they have placed RHP Heath Hembree on the 15-day injured list with a right calf strain. In addition, 1B/DH Daniel Vogelbach was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
