The Pirates return to action tonight as they welcome NL Central rival St. Louis Cardinals for the first of a three-game series at PNC Park.

Zach Thompson (2-3, 5.47 ERA) will start for the Pirates while Adam Wainwright (4-3, 3.15 ERA) goes for the Cardinals. Thompson has not allowed an earned run in his last 12 innings pitched. Airtime on WCCS 101.1 FM and AM 1160 is 6:10 p.m.
The Pirates recently also received some negative news regarding 2021 No. 1 overall draft pick Henry Davis, as the team announced that he was placed on the 7-day injured list with a left wrist contusion.
The 22-year old catcher was promoted from High-A Greensboro to Double-A Altoona on May 10th and suffered the injury during his first, and only, game with the Curve after taking a foul ball off that wrist.
Pittsburgh has not said when Davis is expected to rejoin the Curve.
