The Altoona Curve picked up their second straight win yesterday after beating the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 7-5, at PNG Field yesterday morning.
Catcher Cody Sabol went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI, while shortstop Liover Peguero went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Andres Alvarez continued to stay hot for Altoona offensively after hitting his sixth home run of the season in the sixth inning.
On the mound, J.C. Flowers picked up his second win of the season after allowing just one earned run over three innings of relief. Colin Selby picked up his fifth save after pitching a perfect ninth inning.
Starter Omar Cruz allowed four earned runs and seven hits while picking up three strikeouts in three innings.
The Curve and Flying Squirrels return to action tonight. Altoona has not announced its starter yet.
