UPDATE: Ethan Bence was ordered to serve two to 12 months followed by a year of probation for each charge of simple assault and theft in two separate cases.
Terry Winkleman was freed after a judge sentenced him to a month to a day less than two years in county jail. He was already placed on a combined three years of probation for the counts he pleased guilty to.
Sean Jones was paroled forthwith for time served after being sentenced to jail time for simple assault and disorderly conduct. There were no punishments assigned for the other two charges he faced.
WHAT WE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas will be busy today with several sentencing hearings and one bail modification hearing.
26-year-old James Ethan Bence of Lucernemines will be sentenced today for a guilty plea to a count of simple assault connected with an incident on January 20th of this year. Bence had also faced a charge of summary harassment, but that charge was not prosecuted as part of the plea agreement. Bence will also face sentencing for a guilty plea to a charge of theft by unlawful taking for a case in May of 2021.
Also due for sentencing today is 33-year-old Terry Winkleman, who pleaded guilty to charges of corruption of minors and invasion of privacy. He had also faced charges of unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communications facility and designing or copying obscene material. The charge was reported on August 23rd of 2021.
And Sean Nicholas Jones, a 27-year-old from Indiana, PA will be sentenced today for guilty pleas to charges of simple assault, two counts of harassment and disorderly conduct-fighting.
The bond modification hearing is for Justin Lamb of Seward, who is facing two counts of indecent exposure on September 1st of last year. Lamb submitted the request for the bond modification.
